AILÉN IBARRA lives and works in Buenos Aires. She is a visual artist and teacher, he works mainly in the field of sculpture and ceramics.

 

Graduated from the Bachelor's and Professorship of Plastic Arts with a focus on Sculpture and Ceramics at the National University of La Plata in 2015. She trained in multiple clinics, workshops and seminars led by Leila Tschopp, Leticia Obeid, Eugenia Calvo, Emilio Villafañe, Graciela Olio, Tomás Espina, Lorena Fernandez, Antonio Pujia, Ponciano Cárdenas, among others. ​

 

She currently teaches in her private workshop located in San Telmo, City of Buenos Aires and develops artistic activities in the forms of sculpture, ceramics and video performance. 

She her participated in exhibitions at the Sivori Museum, Sala Imán Fundación Cazadores, in Pólvora, at the Recoleta Cultural Center, at the Dardo Rocha Cultural Center, among others.

In 2022, she won First Prize at the National Hall of Visual Arts in the Fire Arts discipline, in the ceramics category. In 2019 she received First Prize in the Annual International Ceramic Art Exhibition held at the Sivori Museum by the Argentine Center of Ceramic Art (CAAC), Third Prize in the End of the Year Sculpture Contest organized by the Argentine Association of Sculpting Artists (AAEA), and First Mention in the New Fire Artists Hall organized by the Argentine Center of Ceramic Art (CAAC).

In 2018 she received the First Prize in Fine Arts in the Photography and Fine Arts Contest for Gender Non-Violence organized by Dimensions of Human Rights Non-Profit Civil Association.
